My First Public Work! - Newington College Film Festival Poster

Today i just completed and handed in the poster for my school's film festival that i'm participating in. This is my first publicised work, and i'm quite proud of it. It's taken me a while to get this far, but all i can take is baby steps atm while i'm juggling all of this schoolwork :S

The work incorporates aspects of each film represented through objects seen in each film. I used the Directors board to attract the viewers eye from a distance by utilising the white colour over the dark grey gradient background. The board also quickly lets the viewer understand the poster's purpose and theme, then encourages them to read the details.

Be warned however, the full image is designed for an A3 sheet at 300dpi, so it's quite a large image.

Well, without further adue, here it is;

Shattered Glass Wallpapers

Here are two wallpapers i just made an hour or so ago. I created the model in Rhino then rendered it in Flamingo, and used gooEdit postd old paint.net to turn it into a wallpaper. The two designs are just simple colour variations of the glass. The two walpapers are at resolutions of 1680x1050 which will work best with a 22' monitor, although should work well scaled on any 16:10 screen.

Hope you like!

Halo 3 Forum Signatures

Here's a few signatures i made a while back for some members on a halo 3 forum. They all turned out quite well considering how little work was put into them. Each one took around 5 to 20 minutes to produce as i merged many different images together to create the different pictures. If you'd like any advice on how to make these, or are just a fan of them, feel free to leave a coment below as theres a 90% chance that ill get back to you on it.

Cube

I made this in about twenty minutes while I was bored at school. It ended up looking rather good however, considering it was such a basic design. I rendered a model using the 3D modeling program Rhinoceros and then took it to photoshop and added the final touches such as the text and some despeckling to just improve its overall look.

Feel free to use it as a wallpaper if you want, after all thats what it was made for.
